if any one please tell me which mother board supports which type of processor for eg. intel d102 mb supports p4 3.06ghz.
is the above mb suppports only above processor or variant p4 processors. kindly give me full details of motherboard s and its supported processors. and also what is the meaning of FSB? IN motherboards.

that cpu that you speak of is a 775 socket processor, so make sure the board has a 775 socket, the fsb is the front side bus, that processor i believe has an 800fsb, im no pc whiz but the higher the fsb the faster it is, that i know for sure, and you could always visit www.intel.com for more information

just look up the motherboard type on the Internet. Go to support on the website and there should be manuals that will tell you what processor's it will support.

Most boards support a variety of processors ... check the owners manual for each board to determine which processors it will support ... it is impracticle to list that here ... too many different board manufacturers and almost as many processor manufacturers too ... check a site like www.pricewatch.com for their specs

FSB is the bus speed of the motherboard which communicates the Ram and the processors
