Was it the acting, the writing, the scenes or the scenery. Or did you hate it? Why if so?

Btw, I am listening to Tom Rush. Amazing. Do you all know him (No Regrets, Joshua Gone Barbados, The Urge for going, etc.)

loved the movie specially the Romeo and Ethel the pirates daughter routine.
mainly because of the humour in the story. Most people tend to take Shakespeare much to seriously. They didn't

I liked it. It wasn't so much the actors or the acting; the writing, though, was spectacular and witty.

However, I don't think it deserved to win the Best Movie category in the Academy Awards. How could that movie beat out Saving Private Ryan?
