ahh the spanish inquisition set up by the catholic church in Spain but they got about a bit even to england initialy set up to help people who queried there faith to give them spiritual guidance of course the old fanatics got in charged and then they set about accusing everyone in sight of heresy and if they couldnt prove it they would torture until you confessed and then you were burnt at the stake, strangley they were from one order of monks whos teachings forbade the spilling of blood so they used to burn you instead, burns dont bleed. Their most famous leader was Thomas de Torquemada however members of the inquisition were not immune from questioing themselves if they were accused of herasey
The inquisition still exist within the church but have changed their name and have gone back to their original helpfull role

On a more serious note. I have been watching some programmes on UK TV History Channel about the Spanish inquisition, it saddens me to think about all those people tortured and put to death...... for what? mindless superstition and arrogance .
