I dont get it ive had this question forever its like i could be lighting things on fire joining a gang basically really ruining my life and they would keep on going about how you have to be great in school or your not going to have any money and your going to end up poor on the streets they just want you to make some cash so you would come when they are all old and in a wheelchair and than they would probably make you pay for there life i would have to get good marks until i die and if i dont get good marks i die and all the other things going on around me the last thing i worry about is my schoolwork? does anyone else think that parents are complete dumbasses and blind to just about everything we do?

It was all there when they were in school too!! Life is a matter of choices. Make the right ones and you will succed, make the wrong ones..well you know where that takes you.

Oh no. Try getting through the day without a parent, teacher, trusted adult friends, etc. Children, by definition, need - and want - adults to care about them and give them help and advice without taking advantage of them. The thing about grades is that if you do not have the self control and good sense to complete an assignment in school, you will not be able to when you are on your own and responsible for all parts of your daily existence. Getting good grades means the kid is learning facts, concepts and the ability to assess the behavior of other people. Without that, a kid would never grow up emotionally and anyone who wanted to take advantage of them could. Actually, the way you put it, "have to get good marks until I die" is brilliant. That is it! We do have to get good marks until we die, otherwise we fail and become victims of others and we act like victims and see outselves as victims and we end up lost and homeless. Brilliant.
There are parents who, because they did not get good grades and are not getting good grades in life, are failing the needs of their children. That's another kind of homelessness. Now get down to work!

they say do good in school because that's your base, your foundation, so you can make something better of your self and get out of the world of drugs, alcohol, gangs and violence.... notice I didn't mention anything about sex because there is nothing wrong with that as long as you don't swing your d#$CK around and fall in every hole...... man living is a challenge imagine going into a challenge (real life) without any experience you won't make it to the corner........... the answer is simple make something greater of your self and when ou are up there you can look back and extend your hand and help the new generation make something better of their future........

wow dude u dont like ya parents at all .how could u call ya parents that ?u need to get a grip and look to them for guidance not be a brat because they want whats good for u some kids dont even have parents some peoples parents are crack heads or worst they are dead. u need to appreciate what u have and stop being a dumbass .

clean it tomorrow... if you need to, just do one half day

parents want the best for you and without good grades you close doors to yourself. They want as many doors open to you as possible. I definitely dont think thay your parents are dumbasses.

yes i do. i think they do not think they want to see the truth of the world today because they way a lot of them were raised just does not work in todays world. it is a scarey place for anyone who is raising kids and for kids themselves.
