The seasons are caused by the tilt of the earths axis. It's winter in a hemisphere when it is tilted away from the sun and summer when it is tilted toward the sun.
It's orbit is slightly elliptical (oval) with the sun slightly off center. In fact, in the northern hemisphere it is winter when the earth is closest to the sun and summer when it is further away.

the seasons are caused by the tilt of the axis of rotation of the earth. When the tilt is towards the sun we have longer days and more sun energy on average, and temperatures go up. And the opposite happens during the winter.
the orbit is very slightly oval, but not much. In the northern hemisphere, we have summer when the earth is actually a bit further away from the sun, and winter when it is a bit closer to the sun. Which proves, if need be, that the seasons have nothing to do with how far, or close, the earth is to the sun.
hope this helps

1. The seasons are caused by the tilt of the Earth.
2. The Earths orbit is oval. All orbits are.

The seasons occur because the axis on which the earth turns is tilted with respect to the plane of the earth’s orbit around the sun
when it is summer in the northern hemisphere
this hemisphere is tilted toward the sun; this corresponds to winter in the southern hemisphere, when the southern hemisphere is tilted away from the sun

First Answer:
The seasons result from the Earth's axis being tilted to its orbital plane; it deviates by an angle of approximately 23.5 degrees of arc. Thus, at any given time during the summer or winter, one part of the planet is more directly exposed to the rays of the Sun. This exposure alternates as the Earth revolves in its orbit. At any given time, regardless of season, the northern and southern hemispheres experience opposite seasons.
Second Answer:
The orbit is oval.

Orbit-Earth take 365 and 1/4 days to complete one round in its orbit. At the time where the sun is most close to impact there is summer and at the other side is winter. Hope this helps.

Both.
Without tilt there will be no season.
Without orbit no season as well. It is the combination that produces the seasons.
Earths orbit is oval.

Climate and seasons are caused primaril by the orbital motion of earth. Tilt in the axis of earth is causes " the climate and seasons to be distributed to both the hemisphere" and thus tilt is just a dispostion of the planet where by the climate is distributed to both hemispheres.
