Scots, Irish, even Welsh do like us!
In France we like England and English people so why would you hate us then? I'm sure you love us deep inside you (not litterally right?) but you are too proud to admit it!

I like the French, and I love France. The real question is why do people all over the world hate the English?

P.S. I think Peter G needs a history lesson if he thinks the french are the only country to succesfully invade England, what about the Romans, Vikings, Saxons, even the scotts with William Wallace managed to sack York.

The English do no longer hate french and germans .What a extraordinary theory! the place on earth did you get this theory from.The French did no longer save the English in WW2 the two.France became invaded by ability of the german military and the Resistance performed an element in blowing up their ability of delivery everywhere they might.Why are you declaring Hitler right here after he has been ineffective some 50 years.you have a very unusual theory approximately all this and can desire to get your info top in this earlier asking stupid questions in accordance with no longer something extra effective than lack of understanding.

There are a number of reasons, the main one being that the French do not like us, and make no secret of it;

The others are;

Your politicians are the ones in the EU who keep coming up with stupid rules about the shape of bananas, and whether our chocolate can be called chocolate or not, and whether we can weigh things in pounds and ounces etc etc.
You do not have traffic jams and that makes us mad.
You sold arms to Iraq, Argentina, and Iran
You sold nuclear power stations to Iran
You ship all your illegal aliens to us via the channel tunnel
You eat horses. We like horses.
You are impossible to do business with in your own country
You are nearly as bad as the Germans for pushing to the front of a queue

Apart from that, your Red wine is ok but not as good as Rioja, Champagne is cool but Cava is almost as nice and a fraction of the price, your cars really suck stylewise (whats going on with that Megan thing???) and you closed the Peugeot factory in Coventry and put thousands out of work.

Your farmers and lorry drivers close the channel ports at least once a year and wreck everybodies holiday so they can make some stupid point or other, and you set fire to a load of our lamb because it tasted nicer than yours (it was Welsh lamb actually).

You have a regiment in your army which is made up of criminals and your secret service blew the Greenpeace ship up.

You still blow up nuclear weapons in the pacific to see if they work (???) and thereby polute a wonderful part of the world.

Apart from that you are ok, and I did think that Zidane was absolutley correct to do what he did in the World Cup...................

I am English and have no problem with the French, I dont see why I would. Culturally we are very similar, except you have better wine and food!

Its just the tabloids and the uneducated that hate the French because they get brainwashed by the tabloids.

If anyone suggests its anything historical then thats rubbish. I had nothing to do with what happened centuries ago as no Frenchy living today did either, and my distant ancestors are probably French anyway.

I work with a hughe French company and the majority of the french staff are really rude and demanding.
I think it's like the way everyone thinks that english people are football hooligans. Everyone generalised and if you come across a few bad apples they taint everyone else.

I traveled to France and I find the French to be very arrogant and stuck up.I notice they make you feel like they are better than you. Even French business owners in the states demonstrate that very same quality.I use to think that all that was a joke until I went there.I learned first hand that it is true.

History mate, thats why, but you guys do hate us too! It's just the rivalry over thousands of years cos of little things like war and battles, but to be honest I've not met a french person who was not totally polite or nice or good. Also I'd to say your girls are hot. Thank you for them.

We don't all hate you - when I'm in France, I feel liberated. There is a stuffy reservedness about many English that I don't understand. I enjoy speaking with the French, they are always polite and engaging.
The many Belgians I have met were painfully jolly and helpful.
Vive l'Europe!
