Not allowed to beat them, so tough love is often the only answer.

How old is he? that should be mentioned. Hes already out of control. His Dad needs to help get him in line with grounding or whatever it takes. DONT GIVE HIM A TV OR PHONE IN HIS ROOM SPOILED KIDS CAN TURN into brats Im not kidding. Send him to boot camp if thats what it takes! My son hit me before cuz previous husband didnt teach respect....but now son is 28 and hes gone and hes sorry.

Well, if yur stepson is being a pain, DISCIPLINE is the way. if yur husband is not going to do a thing take matters into your own hands. Smack him, grounding doesn't teach a lesson. it is the only way that he will earn yur respect. i don't know about taking him to juvie but have a talk with him about it. i wouldn't even consider taking my child to a juvenile center. you just need to know how to discipline him. that is the only way he'll know you have authority over him.

a month in juvenile detention ought to straighten him up, it's hard to see them go, but if you don't you will be regretting it the rest of your life. Have an aunt who did it with her son, and it was well worth the money. He went acting like a 3year old and came back acting like a human being.

Your husband has to discipline his son. Not you. You have to tell your husband how you feel. I hardly think you are innocent and so "caught in the middle" though. Stop trying to be the one in control of everything. Once again- YOUR HUSBAND HAS TO DISCIPLINE HIS SON- NOT YOU.

Go to family councelling QUICK! He needs to change for the better or else you're all in for a lifetime of pain and misery.
