Why does Angelina Jolie have black and Asian kids? Is she trying to be funny?

Is this a joke? There are plenty of white kids that need to be adopted too. Does Jolie think she's like a God or something taking kids of other races and harboring them like the White savior? Or does she want to show that she's so 'accepting' of other races. A much better idea will be to bang Tyson Beckford that dude is half Black and half Asian, it saves a lot more time,

Actually, what she is doing is taking kids from third world countries to highlight the plight of the people there. It's a subtle way to intro her humanitarian efforts, not really, but she wants to use her media powers for good not evil, and this is the way she figured out how to do it. I'd rather her do this than just support PETA like alot of other actresses do, never researching where their money goes, or never going to demonstrate for the causes they support.

What kind of question is that? The crack about Tyson, is he your dream? I know a lot of people throughout the years who have adopted children from other countries. It is usually quicker to get through the 'red' tape but thousands of dollars are still spent. I think it is outstanding that Jolie has these children. First, she shows no prejudice, which is an intense problem in the U.S. & Second, these kids are extremely lucky to have her & Brad as parents and I only pray that all children can experience this love.

For many years before she'd started adopting, she said that one of her dreams was to assemble a large family from around the world instead of having children. I recall one interview in which she declared that she never intended to have a child herself (which is why I think much of her decision to have a baby was via pressure from Pitt).

The answerer above is correct: it is exceedingly difficult to adopt a healthy (I'm talking phychically and psychologically) white child. Why go through years upon years of struggle and loss (which there very often is, because of bureacracy crap), trying to adopt what you call a 'white kid', when you can help a child from another country who really needs a safe and loving home (because the other option is living in an orphanage (not a safe foster home), among disease and famine, with a higher liklihood to die before hitting ten years old)?

And why the hell wouldn't someone consider adoption even if they can have their own kids? Idiot! It is called compassion. Children need homes. I have two of my own and we were trying very hard to adopt because we wanted to open our home to a child who needed one.
