As ghosts do not exist there can be no real ghost stories.
It's brain washing that makes people frightened of ghosts so they 'see' them.
Many ghost stories and apparitions of various sorts come from the time when people did not have 'glasses' to correct their eyesight. Fuzzy blobs and hallucinations of all types were explained as ghosts as were the results of deprivation of food and hallucinogenic substances in - for example- ergotamine in flour.

i believe in ghosts now interior the sense that they are the two demons or angels sent to demolish or defend you. in case you notice a "spirit" parading around as your lifeless grandmother, i don't care if she sings you the lullabye she made up for you as a touch one-God provides that the lifeless won't return or have the skill to touch you from the afterlife. Demons at the instant are not blind... something that does is after your soul. i believe angels are often a touch greater discreet interior the 2d, yet you will finally understand that the assist you have been given grew to become into the artwork of God.

My brother woke up, crying, crawling on his hands and knees, into a bedroom of this house we lived in when I was little. Me and my sister had the bedroom before and one night the door slammed shut and the light went out. We refused to sleep in there anymore,so it stayed empty. And there were a lot of us kids, we needed that room. But no one would seep in there. The window would open and close by themselves. We would hear them and go out side and look,we were afraid to go in there. My mom was going to nail a cross on the door. But before she could do it, my brother woke up crawling in there. She went to sleep that nite and something woke her up, she said it felt like her spirit was being drug out of her body, she said that she screamed out I'll leave you alone. And she fell back on to the bed. The room stayed empty!

When I was 4 years old, my family moved into a 3-story house. As a matter of law, owners are supposed to disclose any information to current tenants that may affect their decision to buy or rent. Here is the story we were told:
The original owners of the house were a man and wife, and their 3 kids. The man went crazy and shot his wife, 2 of his kids, and the 3rd child died from smoke inhalation because the man had set the house on fire in one of bedrooms. He then turned the gun on himself and died.
The owner who rented us the house said the damage had been repaired, obviously, but that subsequent renters had complained of odd things that happened. They were scared and insisted the house was haunted by ghosts. We were the 3rd family to rent the house after the killings and suicide had occurred. We didn't believe in ghosts.
Then odd things started happening. There was a latched hatch door over the 2nd to 3rd floor stairs, that was an access way to the roof. The latch was rusty and very difficult to pry out of the little hole that held it. But a number of times during our 4 year stay, that hatch door would be flapping open in the wind in the middle of the night and my dad would wake up and have to close it.
I used to be scared of the dark, but always challenged myself to see how long I could stand in the closet with the door closed... pitch black in there. This one day, I decided to go for 10 seconds. Let me describe the closet, first of all. It had a regular door like you'd see to any bedroom. It was a walk-in closet that was about 6 feet in length on the floor. There was a clothes hanger bar above this portion against the back wall. At the end of the bar, there was a wall that started from the floor and went up about 4 1/2 feet high, and a floor/loft that continued on about 8 feet back, that ended at the wall that was adjacent to the bedroom wall. So there I was, standing in the pitch-black closet, counting to 10, facing the very back of the loft wall. When I got to about count 5, I saw a bright spinning circular light that measured about a foot in diameter. It came from the left wall of the closet, vibrated its way slowly to the right, and passed through the right wall. I immediately opened the closet door and checked to see if it came out into the bedroom. I didn't see it anymore. I was so scared, I ran downstairs and didn't go back into the room until I was forced to for bed.
The last, and most memorable "event" that happened in that house happened in the same bedroom. (This, btw, was the room where the man shot his family and himself.) My siblings and I were all sitting on my sisters bed, which was directly in line with the same closet. The closet door was open and inside you could see the chair that was on the floor, and the little 2 tiered shelf with loops we used to hang off the clotheshanger bar. The chair was one of those 4 legged deals that had one leg slightly shorter than the rest, so it teetered back an forth diagonally in the most irritating way. Anyway, we were all sitting there playing around with a Ouija board that we had picked up at a garage sale. We had seen enough spooky movies that featured this little game and thought it'd be great fun to ask it some questions. So, we asked a bunch of silly questions, like, "Does Davey like me?" and "Will I get a bike or Christmas?" etc. But eventually, we got around to the serious stuff. One of us asked, "Are there ghosts in this house?"
In the way I suspect most Ouija board questions are answered, we all had our 1 finger on the triangle and sort of nudged it along to the "Yes" spot on the board. But as soon as it hit "Yes," the chair in the closet started rocking back and forth diagonally and the little hanging shelf started swinging back and forth on the bar. We thought it was perhaps an earthquake, but nothing else in the whole room was moving. I don't know where I got such bravery, but I walked into the closet, climbed up on the chair onto my knees and stopped the shelf from swinging with my hand. The chair continued to move underneath me...and the shelf began to swing again even after I forced it to a complete stop!
We all screamed and ran downstairs to tell our mom. She, of course, didn't believe us, but came upstairs just to satisfy us. Wouldn't you know? The chair and shelf were completely still.
Those were the most memorable events in that house. After that final closet incident, I don't remember anything else happening. We moved probably within a year after it happened. I don't believe in the conventional idea of ghosts...but I do believe in spirits. I don't know what was going on in that house. It was inexplicable as a child, and I still have no answer today as a full-grown adult. I've never been back to that house. Whether or not it was ghosts, spirits or just natural phenomenon that we didn't know how to explain as kids, it was enough to freak me out to the point that I'll never return.
