the media is useful in disseminating info to the public. without all these newspapers, magazines, tv and radio, how are we going to know what's happening in our country and to the world? about all those celeb stuff, mostly its just entertainment magazines and entertainment shows talking about it. most of the info we get are not on entertainment industry.

Actually i rarely watch the news these days, just too depressing. When tragedies happen the media repeat over and over the same clips (are they trying to brain wash us ?) I do listen in between my music channels on radio they break in with 5 mins news brief which is usually local news then back to my music. I buy & look at home, travel magazines usually. I don't believe the media does a good job of just telling the news they have to sensationalize everything. The Jon Benet case is an example, then the man is free (not charged in her murder) i don't think thats as news worthy to the media as him being extradited to the U.S. from Thailand & him being accused of her murder. Have you ever witnessed the news media (tv reporters & photographers) when trying to get an interview or the photos? They are like starving animals going in for the hunt of their life. TV News is overdone (too many channels show same negative news, same time) When it's good news, (i'm trying to remember the last time i viewed happy or encouraging news) hmm, well i never have seen much pleasantness on the news. Newspapers are the same or worse. Radio isn't that bad. Maybe i can tolerate radio because it's brief and i don't see the vultures hunting down a shocking story. Thank goodness for music on my radio lol. Some good talk radio around too i might add... Thank you for listening to me ramble on lol.

Medias and Newspapers have become the tools for the top politicians, and that they divert the peoples attention into mean matters to put a stay to burning problems.
Or else they would fight for their wellbeing.
Behind the scene, there must no ruling party and no opponent party.both the leaders will be shaking hands with each others laughing at the innocence of the public.
Medias and newspapers should understand this and be among people and not at the ruling end.

I don't find either kind of news particularly important. I care as little about Brad Pitt as I care about earthquakes in Sri Lanka. They are both far away, and nobody I know is affected.

media are the most powerfull thing in today's society. they form opinions and lead people's minds, but the thing is that if u seperate yrself u can either know about Brangelina or not. watching CNN+BBC does not offer u what E! does. is yr choice and after that u need yr brain to work and seperate propaganda from reality.
