One of my friend says it is risky..and may lead to imprisonment..and other friend says its normal..no issues. whom should I believe

you may attend interview..but must not do job...after getting job you have to apply work visa with immigration and check-points authority...depending on your expertise;there are different kinds of work permits..after getting that you can work.

Singapore issues "social visit" visas rather than "tourist" visa. It's the same visa that is issued to people attending meetings and conferences in Singapore. So going to a job interview should be OK.

with tourist visa you can attend a meeting or interview
but once you have assured your job security you have to be here and get your PR (Permanent Resident) status visa or appiontment work visa from the company you are getting the job in singapore. otherwise you have to wait for sponsor or from the company undertaken official invitation copy of the letter to embassy for attending interview. Then it is possiable for you to obtain your PR to work in singapore.

These singaporeans are very money oriented. Every single fault you do, they will fine you (mostly vary from 5,000 - 50,000 dollars) according to ur fault

go to site Singapore and get rules and regulations.. in any case since u r going , find out locally, don't take any risk
