Because Red is the quintessential colour for a Ferrari, and the Ferrari racing team is Red too! Red suits the lines of a Ferrari the best as well, although Yellow looks tasty as well! The modern Ferrari has actually got a decent colour choice, as well as the option, I think, to have your new Ferrari painted any colour you want. I know for fact that Porsche allow you to have a 911 in a bespoke colour as well as the standard factory ones.

In years past vehicles entered in races were painted asigned national colours such as Silver for Germany, Green for the UK and red for Italy. Since Ferrari is an Italian company, Enzo Ferrari (the companies founder), was an Italian man who viewed his road cars as a way of funding his racing interests red was also adopted as the companies 'signature' colour.

Subsequently Ferrari was constantly associated with the colour red during its history, this then seemed to transfer to the publics perception of the company and its cars creating a strong demand for red cars from Ferrari's customers.

The first Ferrari was Burgundy red, then most from there on were painted in rosso corsa (the vibrant red we see today) it really depended on the the customers choice ( They were built for road use to fund the racing team, so the customers probably wanted their cars to look fresh off the track) they were also available in yellow or black in the 1960s from the factory. (hand built) Enzo ferrari raced for alfa romeo before creating his own race cars and team. They also wore red so i can only assume that it was the racing choice of italy. But there is no doubt nearly every one loves Red Ferrari

It goes to the FIA and Grand Prix racing. Each country is assigned a color scheme - no choice. Italy is Red, France is Blue, UK is Green (British Racing Green, of course), US is Blue/White, and so on. All Italian race cars would be Red - Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, even FIAT.

Because of Ferrari's long, distinguished racing history, many Ferraris are painted Red - customers associate with the racing cars.

But really, what other color could you paint them? They're made to be Red.

Ferraris are available in many colours but Red was the official racing colour for Italy and seems to embody the spirit of a Ferrari, a Rolls Royce for example would not look good in red, and whilst you can get a Ferrari in black they look so sad! BMWs look best in silver, Renaults in blue, Jaguar in black etc.

Not all of them are red .
They do come in other colours, Balck, silver , yellow, blue, etc
Its just the red is the racing colours of Italy.
The actuall colour for ferrari is Yellow, the same as the background behind the prancing horse.

Ferrari have always used red for their race cars, a bit like british racing green for jaguar/bentley, red envokes passion and emotion and is now ferrari's trade mark colour although you can get other colours.

If I was lucky enough to, own a ferrari, it would have to be red.

They're not. I guess you just see more of them because people who like expensive sports cars and can afford them, probably want to be sure that they can be seen as well as possible.

Guess they are the favorite car for egotistical people with low self esteem. They try to get their self esteem from their car. Hmmmmmmm. Interesting concept.
