I have a light/slim structure but my tummy sticks out a bit. I just want to have flat abs. It doesn't necessarily have to be a 6-pack, just flat abs. How do I get flat abs? Is it my poor posture causing this?

do crunches-slowly. try reps of 10 at first until you can increase the number of reps. lie down on a mat with your back flat, and your feet at 45 degrees.now start doing the crunched-no cheating. the slower you do them the more effective and right you are doing them. now be in the sam position again but make the task harder on you: take a 2 pound medicine ball and when you put your legs at thir 45 degree position, cross them so that you can put the ball between your legs.now try the crunches. another way is to do reverse crunches, using the medicine ball when you work on your obliques and so forth.

Do sit-ups or cruches.

1. Lie down and bend your legs.
2. Lift your bent legs 90 degrees.
3. Place your hands behind your ears.
4. Lift up your upper body until it is almost the same height as your knee.

Do not use your neck to lift up your body. Use your stomach area. If you use your neck, you will be in pain.

Or if you dont understand what i'm saying, do normal sit-ups or go to the gym. Ask the in-house instructor on which machine to use.

If you want a healthier physique, then consult a personal trainer or do aerobics for at least an hour each day or 3x a day.

All the best!

well it depends on whether or not that little paunchy thing is fat. if it isn't, it's probably your posture, but if it is, then you should start limiting your fat intake. as in, cutting out the salty and sugary stuff. you might want to take up Pilates as well. it's fantastic cus it's very good for the core and builds muscles in the abdominal region without bulking you up. good luck!
