You should give some money to charity to share your good fortune with other.
Next, it sure is fun spending money and investing it, but you forgot what most people who have a windfall have problems with. Yup. Uncle Sam. You have to pay taxes. Thus, you have to look at sheltering your money and lessening the tax hit. Hiring a tax consultant wouldn't be a bad idea because of the amount of money you have.
Finally, it doesn't hurt to save some for a rainy day. You may not always be able to count on your investments and equity building up in your house. Putting some money in a no-load mutual fund is pretty safe. If you're more of a risk taker, then there are growth funds.
None of these sound as sexy as a shopping spree today, but you'll feel good about yourself and appreciate the returns in the future.

If you bought a house for $695K would you be able to support it after the 2 mil is gone? How about insurance on the house and the $53K car?
I'd invest it in real estate/land properties, at least your money will grow with that. Buy and sell. Your money will grow to more than $2mil!! Oceanfront properties are hot.
Millions will go quickly when you have no financial plan. If you invest it in real estate or land, you will continue to build the wealth. Clothes, cars and other superficial assets offer nothing monetary in return. Once it is spent it is gone!!
Ask someone who has $2 mil or more what they do with it.

Hi Iz, what I would do is place it all in the bank and live on the interest it earns forever. I'm sure there are more exciting ways to earn interest, but me I am happy with the $100,000 a year it would give me.

You can leave it in a secret location where I can find it. I could do a lot with it. Leave it under the third rock you see six miles from the Washington Monument in a northeasterly direction. I'll pick it up later.

Donate to the charity and help those who need it. Save some for yourself so that you can enjoy a cup of starbucks and chilli pepper crabs. I really love those.

i think the most satifaction you would get from two million dollars would be to give it to the poor of the world, you would save about 3 million lives and the love and respect for you around the globe would be unequaled anywhere or for anyone,
think of this"if your little old granny 10 dollars in her purse and she gave 5 dollars to charity",Robbie williams has 100 million in his bank and he gives 1 milion to charity,Who has given the most??
The answer is your granny, as she has giving 50% of her income and mr williams 10% of his wealth,
the point i am trying to make is this, why do we have people dying in the modern world when we have so much wealth lying in banks,
my mind boggles, thats my rant for today over,,
you enjoy your thoughts sweetheart and i hope one day you are in a position to make the decision for real...lots of love and peace xx
