um, an original cd. isn't the original of anything always better? even if the quality is the same, you still get the artwork.

Depending on what type of stereo equipment or system you are using, you can achieve a "better" copied cd. You can customize all the technical stuff and the personal touch(different labelling etc.,)Adjust the original recording levels to a peak volume or to your preference. You can also add high ends and low ends to make it "your" sound!!!!! Even re-produce the cd.For just sound to sound comparisons, no doubt the original cd will sound better than the copied one. But like I mentioned before , with the proper and simple adjustments and equipment, you can make the copied cd "better!".The major flawback is the copied one is just that, copied, so in essence it is not "better", will not last as long, but when you include price, fun ,interest, there;s nothing wrong with the copied version. But isn't original just that ,original, meaning better? Not in all cases but in most. Flip a coin, that you saved copying it. It's a choice of preference.

Sounds 'seedy'?! It’s a choice you have to make – but before you decide, think of it this way::
a) You invent something or come up with a novel idea, then voluntarily share it with someone else. And if that someone else goes and takes all the credit for the job you did, how does it feel?
b)Our 'devil-may-care' attitude for what seem like petty issues continue; we begin lying to our friends, kids, parents and other loved ones (aww… its nothin’ just some white lies that doesn’t hurt a soul!), but when they find you out, how does it feel?
c) So we continue to delve deeper and accept that bribery/corruption is all part of life, until it starts affecting our lives when our countrys' economies fail. Because there is no record of such transactions and the money is filling some ‘fly-by-night’ operator’s coffers and not your country’s.
Let’s not turn a blind eye to reality – let it not pertain just to CDs but everything else. Buy only legitimate stuff from authorized stores – we all love bargains; but companies spend fortunes on building their brands and its not a very pleasant sight for them to see a cheap copy selling like hotcakes off the sidewalk….Think of it as your money they're spending, its your country being affected after all.
The good and the bad ...as a citizen it'll all come back to you...

That depends....better for what?
If you want to use it as a drink coaster, then the copied one is better.
If you want to use it as a frisbee, then the copied one is STILL better.
If you want to display your CD collection in the lounge and have everyone OOh and AHH over your CD's then the bought one is probably better.
If you want to read all about the band and know what year it was recorded then the bought one is better.
When you ask "which is better", you need to say "better" for what?
