I used to work for the Dubai Royal Family in London. If you email me, I will give you the London office address. you will have to state to them though that you are looking for work in Dubai. I know HRH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashind Al Maktoum, who has recently taken over the running of the country following the death of his brother HRH Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum is developing much of his country, so construction work should not be a problem. Men as a rule, dont really get much involved in hospitality for the family though, as no contact with the Bints (ladies) is allowed.

For any job in the construction industry you need a Pakistani passport. Then be prepared to be treated like a dog & be expected to live in a kennel. Dont do it! Dubai may look beautiful but its built on the blood & sweat of poorly paid & ill treated labor from the Indian sub-continent. They used to call it slavery!

in the construction industry they are haring Asians not British, if he is a engineer he would have a chance but if he just a construction worker he would not like the pay.

Good luck , as you said most construction companies are suffering, they are cutting down their employees to even half!! many people went back to their countries and others are expecting to be fired. We are all worried about our jobs here. I don't think it is the right time for you to look for a job there.

For Hospitality look on caterer.com and get the mag 'Caterer and Hotelkeeper' every week. They have loads of international jobs in.
Don't know about construction but would assume there is a similiar trade magazine.
Good luck!

I can tell you what not to do! Don't pay a company to complete an application for a job with a guarantee from them that you will get a job offer. They want about $100 to "process" your application and they will guarantee you a job and once you accept it you get your money back. Here's the scam:
They get your money then they send you a letter offering you a job as a bathroom attendant or dishwasher making slave wages. You don't like it and don't accept it then they keep your money because they guaranteed you a job offer. Beware.
Check out major US companies like DynCorp or Haliburton, SelricoServices.com, or CPI, to find legitimate jobs overseas.
