With our first daughter, he answered the phone when the nurse called with the news. Then, with our second daughter, he was stationed in Saudi Arabia, and friend told her husband who then told my husband the news... it was old news by the time he heard it from me. Then, with our last daughter, I took a pregnancy test on Christmas Eve... then I told him that his Christmas present would arrive a few months late... closer to July.

Have some men that you know and who have children come over to the house. Have them and your husband stand in a line. Tell them that everyone without any children needs to take one step forward. When your husband starts to step forward ask him why he's stepping forward.
That's not how my wife told me but it sure sounds like fun. 8)

in my case since it will be our first baby, and by the time that i knew I am pregnant it is his birthday, so what i did is , i put the preg test in a small box, put a note on top of the preg test "happy birthday daddy" and then filled the box with crumpled paper, and then gift wrapped the box and then that night when my husband came from work, i gave that as a gift . . he is very shocked . .best bday gift he ever had

My partner and I are now seperated and i have a 2yo girl. My partner was at work at the time when i did the urine sample and found out it was positive. I gave him a ring and told him to come home. I wasnt scared to tell him but i was definately nervous.
He was just as happy as me when he found out. He now has a great relationship with his daughter but definately not one with me. I found out he was cheating with my best friend 3 months ago and i kicked him and his dog onto the curb!
