Instead of wearing a dhoti men wear pants.and ladies (many of them ) are wearing jeans and T.shirts.Instead of drinking tendercoconut water we take cola and pepsy items.Ignoring our mother tongue and speaking english is the worst of them.The teenagers are the most affected in this society. Many of them did not know our freedom fighters . Once there were no many big opportunities to earn more money in India. Now even though we have many opportunities many want to go to western country to earn.The Government spend a lot of money towards education but instead they go to foreign countires.It is very sad.A little by little we are losing our identity...It is my opinion only.

Love,affection is almost vanishing in Indian society, todays life in India is so hectic and you only think of yourself. There is a competition in every field and each one overtakes the other. This is because of western culture. The result is that many Old Age Home/Orphanage are opening in Major cities.

first and foremeost i think the western culture is messing with the way we indians think. we now feel that anything that is "desi" so to speak is inferior and that goes for our clothes, our manners/ ettiqutes / the way we deal with each other. its now considered "cool" and "hip" to adopt the wester practices of "live-in" relationship..... "neuclear family" etc to name a few. even most of our movies are now short abroad and the concepts that they depict are also "western influenced" take kabhi alvida naa kehna for an example or even saalam namaste. i dont say if this influence is good or bad... all i am saying is that we are being taken over....:P

well the western culture on indian society are dominating today well that doent mean that we have to always stick to our on desi we can even get used all those stuff but the situation sould not lead to search for our own color

of course we are influenced by the western culture and we are enjoying it.At the same time even western people are influenced by our culture they also must be having the same feeling,so deal.no probs.
