At least Dr. Hawking and Marilyn vos Savant chose real answers from real users.

I am not denying the actuality of the celebrity, but I have doubts about the veracity of the answers. I suspect that both of these individuals are using this forum to futher the political adgendas.

How long did I take on this? well, it took me all of 15 minutes to do the research, just a little more than 10 minutes to cut/paste the links.

propaganda (noun); speech or writing advancing one's cause or ideas, or denouncing one's opponents.

As far as choosing an answer which agrees with the askers' philosophies, that is fine. That is not the case here.
This is the Answers version of using a ventriliquist dummy to answer a question.
"Hey, Woodie, what do you think about pollution?"
"Well, Al, I think pollution is bad."

Is fox news an example of conservative propaganda?

When I was attending grade school we had classes in what propaganda is. We were watching the Soviets duping their people and said we do not want to be like them. Propaganda is easily identified. When someone illuminates the truth that is not propaganda, no matter the source be it left or right wing. Advertising for instance can be propaganda when it gets you to buy a product you do not need and pay a high price, like the clothing industry has successfully perpetrated on this nations young and old for quite some time now. Clothing has a function and that has been the least important purchase consideration for years. Name brand clothing purchasing has cost this nation an unbelievable amount of resources that could have been used to make sure everyone on the planet has clean drinking water as a for instance. This is an example of propaganda. You need a different style of clothes befor your old one wear out, and nearly all of you labeling this or that propaganda have fallen for it hook line and sinker. Then after falling for that someone trys to tell you something you do not want to hear and you want to label it with a name you wear daily. There are people out there selling you you stuff using propaganda and it is the same group that took teaching what propaganda is out of the schools so they could use it to run your government the same way they skewered you into buying stuff you do not need. Who could that possibly be? It's the same people behind the scenes that has you turning against one another while they steal your culture, your money, your freedom, and soon those very stylish clothes you bought. It is the merchant class. Buy low sell high is their motto and they are so good at propaganda because you do not know it when you see it. There was a time when merchants were seen as what they are, and people haggled over prices, and used their resources more responceably (sp) Learn what propaganda is then stop responding to it.

Hard to say. One man's propaganda is another man's honest viewpoint. Most likely, the "best" answer was the one that most closely matched the questioner's pre-conceived viewpoint. That's not necessarily propaganda, it's more like sales (which you could consider to be as shoddy as the stereotypical used car salesman...)
Mostly we are so polarized that no one wants to hear any opinion that they don't already hold, and everyone wants to speak in a way that best conveys their point of view without reference to any inconvenient alternatives...
I find this a bit annoying and really wish that there was a more centrist approach -- but call me a Utopian...

Marilyn Vos Savant is a mental midget. Her claims of having a high iq are bogus. Plus she answers the most worthless questions...

I can beat her in a debate anytime on politics,
history or the future of humankind.
