What is his Song "goodbye my lover" about? My mom says that it is about a lover who has died, and I actually am not sure, if it is about a break up or a death. I know that in one of his songs he states that He has watched a Lover take their final breath. I think that James Blunt has the most beautiful voice that I have heard in a long time. It's about how his girlfriend and him broke up and he was sad and all because he wanted to marry her..I saw it on Oprah the other day. Here's more info:

I have his album and I think the song you are referring to is about a break up. I will listen again to it and edit this if I need to.
I am HOPING his next single will be "tears and rain" it is absolutely beautiful.......such a wonderful voice and beautiful lyrics.

I saw him on Oprah yesterday and when he was about to perform that song Oprah asked him about it. He said it was a miserable song. The way he said it was kind of funny. Loved the song, very emotionally sad...a tear jerker.
