wolfy1, my bible has that scripture and it doesn't say anything about homosexuality. lots of other stuff though, like being judgmental and idolizers and adulterers.

It's going to be a while.
In the meantime, don't worry about "acceptance" so much as get out there and fight for the Civil Rights that are denied.
I don't care whether or not someone "accepts" me, I care that my Rights are Violated.

Becoz they r different, it may take long to be accepted as people take long to accept changes if ever they do so! Just understand them n keep on doin whatever it is that makes u happy. Do not judge them, it really is difficult especially if the person concerned is a loved one eg parents r really broken when they find out there sone is gay. I think lesbians r fewer than gays thats why u may feel they r accepted, but it is the same way it is with gays. Now all the best for ur life n just be patient mayb with time u will be accepted

I don't know that gay people will ever be accepted completely. People are too busy judging and don't really realize that everybody is their own person and what they choose to do with their life style is their business. I think they'll be accepted by *most* as time goes on and people learn that what they call a so called *epidemic* is not going away. It's just the way some people are. I think every body has a right to be who they want to be.

In time, I sure hope so. We may all be old and gray by the time it happens, but all it would take is a top notch celebrity or world leader to admit that they are gay to make people realize that anybody can be gay, and that they are the same person that they have always been. Being gay is nothing to be afraid of or anything we can control. People need to listen and be receptive to the idea that discrimination against anybody, even gay people, is wrong.

Youu asked for no religious jargon that makes it hard to answer the question. I will say read 1 Corinthians 6:9-19. I believe you have a problem as described in the Bible and I feel bad for the misled people but this does tell the truth and how to make it better.

I believe the individual is always accepted it is the behavior or attitude that exudes from the person that is disgusting and unacceptable.

I don't believe lesbians are accepted either. I just don't think it will happen in this century.

"Fully 85 percent of the nation's high school seniors believe gays and lesbians ought to be accepted by society, according to a recent Zogby poll of 1,003 students. In addition, two in three students advocated the legalization of same-sex marriages and 68 percent said such couples should be allowed... "

I think this says it all .

I don't know but either way I'm going to keep being the biggest Proudest F A G that I can be. It's funny to see all the pathetic straights getting all mad and condemning me to hell. Whatever I love being gay.

Um totally...I love gay guys. But I think gay guys are more accepted than lesbians, that is, I find it more awkward talking to a lesbian than a gay guy.

You want the truth from a straight guy? Some people (including myself) have a real problem with sodomy. I think it's gross and perverted and I wouldnt even do it with a woman that wanted me to. That's why I am more tolerant of lesbians that I am of gay males.
