i remember when naruto first came out in japan and i found it really cool. but then a year later it was whored out in every anime convention. where for 2 1/2, 3 years straight i've counted over 70 naruto characters cosplayed (which lead bread to the nickname narutard for the cosplayers). it was insulting and made me lose intrest in the anime. then when it got lisendsed it got worse and even hot topic sold the naruto jacket (aswell as vash's coat). i'm glad it is now starting to calm down but who agrees that the fandom was crazy for a while?

i'm finnaly happy to say i am able to watch naruto again without gagging. i can't say the same for one peice. damn i hate how it was slaughtered. it was better 4 1/2 years ago when it was still in japanese.

i really need to learn japanese moreso than i already have. i'm really starting how it gets ruined. anyone agree?

the moral of this rant. america, stop killing good animé.

thank you,

as i said it was whored out due to the fact literealy over 70 people cosplayed as naruto characters in anime conventions for about 3 years. having 10-20 narutos sitting in one convention center is disturbing. not to mention alot of them were crappy as hell. i've seen felt safety-pinned to a oringe sweatter. i prefer originality. i want to see a more variety of charecters.

you are trying to tell me you like the voices of one peice? you like how the emotion was torn out of it? fine enjoy your watered down anime.

and dude i've been out on my own for years. I'M A GOD DAMN COOK!! not to mention i work 11 hour shifts.

i was just stating that when to meny people cosplay the same character at the same time it gets annoying. as well as america tends to water down good anime to appeal to americans. i mean if we can't handle watching that specific anime, i guess we shouldn't watch it. there are houndreds more to choose from. we need to try to keep it as close to the original as possible. that was the living dream of the artist. why madify it. why try to make the mona leasa look happier? keep the art the same. it still annoyes me how pokemon turned from ash trying to become a man and live for himself to "i want all the pokemon in the world" if he is really trying to get all the pokemon when the hell does he still onle have a few dozen out of 300+?

fan= good
over obsesed fans= bad
ameirca watering down anime= bad
anime in general= good

that is all,

i don't care if other people like it. i can always give them spoilers if i wanted to be mean. granted i do feel special because i've seen it first it is mainly the fandom in cons i was complaining about. the lack of originallity can kill any art form. in this case cosplaying. people should not all dress as the same character expessually if you are not even going to try while making it.

Listen to yourself!!! Your mad because people become HUGE fans of a Anime. How did it get whored out, the popularity just got bigger, so the artist licensed it out to expand the Fan base. Why do you even care how other people react to something they love? How does that affect the anime? Because people are dressing up in costumes or talking about it everyday online, I dont think so. Kishi enjoys his fans, I enjoy the fans and the show...I dont dress up in Anime costumes when i go to conventions, but i like to see people (some who work 9-5 jobs or in School) acting out fantasies. America is not Killing Anime, it's expanding the Popularity. If you want the pure shitt, take ya asss across seas. BUT LEAVE THE FANS ALONE AND LET THEM ENJOY THERE FREAKING NARUTO!!!!

AND MOVE OUT THE MOMS BASEMENT !!!

I'd like to point out that while its cool to love a show when it first comes out and may seem annoying when everyone starts to love it (after all you did it first). If a show is not popular it will not continue on, that populatiry is important for additonal episodes and merchandise. Why is it that you believe America is killing it and why are you insulted that other people like what you do? Everyone has the right to like what they want so deal with it !

Note: We as consumers in America do not control how they edit Anime and it is not our fault if it gets watered down so dont be mad at us (I like things to appear as they originally were produced)

indeed i do. i mean, Naruto is a decent show, but it is deffinetly not the best i've ever seen, and it gets way more attention than a lot of shows that are much better. but i guess, that in a way, thats a good thing. it means i can like all the really good shows and not feel like i'm just watching what's popular.

i think it was more appalling because there are so many other anime shows out there that are much better. i find it amusing how the shows go through popularity stages in the states, of course that could be because i am either ahead of the curve or so far behind it that i never knew it happend.
as for naruto, i could hardly sit through one episode... but i also hate not seeing something from the beginnig so that could be part of it.
