'Power of Attorney' is a legal appointment of another person to act on your behalf . This is done by a legal document attested by a lawyer / solicitor and it is usually registered with the authorities. The powers vested can be specific or general and it is binding by the person.
Normally this is done where you are out of the country or when you are sick and you cant attend. Power of Attorney can be given to to a third party to sell a property or to represent you at courts etc. The power of attorney could be cancelled at any time by the person who issued/originated the same.

The legal power to act on someone else's behalf. there are different types in English law. This may range from being limited in power or time or what specific decisions can be made to a full blown complete control of another person's assets. (If you mean power of attorney?)

A "Power of Attorney" is a legal document that allows a second person to sign contracts for the person granting the power. There are two types of POA: General and Special.
A General Power of Attorney allows the person granted powers to act as the grantor in ALL financial areas. This gives the person unlimited access to all properties of the grantor to manage as he or she sees fit.
A Special Power of Attorney is a limited grant that has specific limitations to access. For example, you might grant a person a Special POA to sell your car. That allows the person to sell your car, but does not give ther person the right to sell your home or have access your bank account.
Hope this helps.

A voucher that allows you to have a pizza for two at Tony's.
Before you know it you'll be ordering wine and cheese and Tony will make a good profit. That's the power of "AtTony's".

I believe this is a legal document authorising someone else to act on your behalf usually because you're incapable of acting or you just want the other person to be able to act on your behalf.
