Sorry, I had a great time in French and the people were very friendly. And I don't speak French but they always tried to understand me.
And personally I wonder why a lot of Americans are so arrogant. A lot of people from Europe don't like the Americans, they don't communicate or are interested in other ways of living.
(A lot of Americans think they know it better than other people without knowing whats going on. A lot of Americans think they can tell the rest of the world how they should live their lives and Americans seems to like to start a war.)

I don't hate the french, I am an American mut (I have a bit of french in me). I think that there are good and bad people everywhere. I think that french people in the tourist areas have been rude to Americans. I also think that it may be a leadership issue. many people may not like the leaders of a country and assume the whole country is like that. which is not the case with either of our countries. thank goodness.

I honestly don't hate the French. But, many Americans think that you "owe" us for bailing you out of WWII, I however think that is a bit misguided. Plus there were issues w/ the French and Iraq and the Food for Oil program which was a big scam funded by the UN.

Why are the French so arrogant? There is a saying
"France is such a beautiful country it's a pity the French live there" I have been to France and perhaps I was just unlucky but the French only talk to you if you speak french other wise they turn their noses up at you.

Dear,

What I learned is that wherever the Americans go they consider themselves they are superior.I am not generalizing but I saw Americans exchanging bad words with some other whites in a certain country. And I asked one person in that country (by the way that place is where a lot of tourists visit it continuously),why the Americans are behaving like that.He said they do it to all Europeans. They slowly begins talking and you see things to be changed otherwise he said.May be they want every people to accept them superior and you may not do it.

Because the French government since WW2 has done its best to upset the yanks.

They refused to join Nato, they refused to help in Korea, they messed up Vietnam and then left the yanks to it, they continually moan about American culture (music, fast food, etc), and then to cap it all off they supported Saadam (Chiracs nickname is Jacques Iraq), and have helped Iran get the nuclear technology.

They have even re-named French Fries as Freedom Fries after Frances pathetic lack of support after 9/11.

There is a thought that the USA helped France twice last century in WW1 and WW2, plus got you out of Vietnam, and that you as a nation could be a little more grateful.
