I live in Chicago but it's hard for me to find a job since I'm 16 years old. I have been employed as a waitress at Sushi X but I only have 2-3 months of experience. Any help? REAL JOBS PLEASE.

When you turn 17, there's the Army or Army Reserves. Pay is great, it's a career and you'll be able to retire at 37 or 38.

Macy's use to hire girls 16 and older to help with 'putbacks' in the young women's department. Unfortunately state laws will limit your # of hours that you can work per week and therefore it will be more difficult for them to decide to hire you. (But it's a good thing because that way you can concentrate on your schoolwork too!)

Put in a call to your local Macy's and talk to their HR department, let them know how old you are and ask what kinds of opportunities are available for you, we're coming upon the holidays soon and they'll be hiring people by the dozen to prepare for the yearly sales rush.

It's a great company to work for once you get your foot in the door. I was originally hired as a temp during Christmas, later became a manager, and now I work in the exciting world of Clinique makeup!

Get away from corporations. They pay zilch.

Look for small companies or private companies if you must.

The best thing to do is find something you know about and love to talk about and sell it on ebay. Become a business owner. It is easy.
