My friend is extremely sarcastic and a smartass, but most of his smartass comments are stupid and don't apply to the situation. The way that I deal with this is that I just stay silent for a few seconds...look him in the eyes and say, "you're shhtupid!" and then continue with whatever i was doin'.

Well, I have a friend who is sarcastic all the time and he likes people to be sarcastic too.. where as my ex likes to be sarcastic but he doesn't like to be sarcastic to, it differs. I like to be sarcastic too. So I like someone to get witty too.
Some people you just have to try and see what they like or don't like the ones like my ex, well, you know they are just no good. People like my friend, go ahead and be sarcastic...they love it. lol.

Laugh it off. Don't take sarcasm seriously, then you won't be hurt. Your sarcastic friends may be sending you a message in their sarcasm.
If you wish to reflect, then do it when you are alone. The objective is to see if you need to change for the better. Otherwise, don't worry, be happy!

no matter what they say, pat them on the back and tell them you understand..... it will make them take pause and think about what they are saying..... and make them take the focus off of themselves...... you will be training them , so to speak.... rofl.... and they will never know it ........
