my "BEST FRIEND" (well used to be...) was getting to be a real b***h and started hitting / punching / kicking me and one day i got really pised of that i punched her in the jaw... she says i broke it but i knew that i didnt because she was talking 5 secs later... but after a few days of us ignoring eachother she rang and rang and rang and got my family realy pised of that they rang the cops for herasment on her behalf (oh and i did ask / tell her not to ring anymore but she wouldnt stop...) the next day she came up to me and apoligised, she asked if she could hang out with me (I was her only friend... so she says) and I said "na!"
I felt really sori but i knew that she would carry on hiting me, etc, if i said yes to her being our friend.

Did i make the right choice or should i have given her another chance?

i think you did the right thing..... she needs help, and she will not and can not get that kind of help from you.... she needs to heal and get right...... it is not your job or responsibility to be her punching bag...... keep your heart in tact and dont feel bad.... she needs to change her ways or never have friends.... God bless
