I think it might be cypress or corn but I do not know if corn is a herb

Corn is a good guess because it is used through Native America in harvest celebrations and ceremonies... However, I don't think it counts as an herb...

Below is the link to a site with a list of herbs associated with Mabon:

http://www.wicca.com/celtic/akasha/mabon.htm

(interestingly, none of which start with 'c'!)

Another:

The only two I'm seeing most frequently are 'corn' and 'cypress' still. Cypress is also associated with the element of water which is associated with the season of autumn/fall. So that would be my guess...

Blessings and Light! Let us know what the answer ends up being!

What does "associated with Autumn" mean?

Does it reach maturity in Autumn? Is it best harvested or transplanted in Autumn?

I think too many Neo-Pagans take the whole "associated" thing way too far. It's too subjective and usually amounts to a lot of nothing. Our Pagan ancestors had a lot more to do (like fighting off other Pagan ancestors, finding food for winter, etc) than just sit around making "associations" between stones, herbs, trees, life cycles, elements, and seasons.

I dont know a website but you can try The Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs by Scott Cunningham. He may have something in there.

My correlation lists for Samhain are here: http://girlgerms.net/samhain.html

There's a link in the 'plants and herbs' list that should help very much.

Hint... kitty kitty? ;)

I just found these online Herbal Grimoires, I can't vouch for their quality, but they look comprehensive and easy to use. Hope it helps :-)
