First off, are you an Irish Fan???? I won't share any info with a Michigan fan....LOL. No seriously. Unfortunately, with the ND/Mich game, as with just about any game at ND, you are going to be hard pressed to find a place this late and for a relatively decent price. Most people, when the schedule comes out, book their romms immediately and they go fast.
With as good as things have been for them, and even in the past when they weren't so good, places to stay have always been hard to come by.
You can try going a bit north into...cough, cough... Michigan(I know, sorry) My uncle lives in St. Joseph and I always stay with him when I go to a game.
I have also tailgated in the lots and slept in the back of my blazer, too. I don't know if they still let you do that or not.
My uncle has worked at the stadium for as long as I can remember. He started out as an usher and is now the 'Head Gatekeeper" for the tunnel. He gets there anound 6 am on game day and doesn't leave until the last person is out of the stadium. He makes sure that if you are going in that gate, you are supposed to be there. He is one of the guys in the yellow jackets that you see standing at the endzone at the tunnel.
I can ask him tand see if there are any other places that may be good, but you are probaby going to be about 1 hr away from the stadium in any direction before you find availability and/or decent prices.
I'm going in Friday after work and staying the weekend.
Good luck finding a place.
GO IRISH!!!!!

it variety of feels to be that those 2 courses are actually not headed for any BCS video games each time quickly, yet the two will prosper as quickly as lower back in given time. That being reported ordinary, this tournament up of Notre Dame's offense vs. Michigan's protection turns up being particularly the draw. If Notre Dame can set up a working recreation, this is going to be a rout. Notre Dame might have the flexibility to blitz Michigan particularly nicely lots of the afternoon. Early fulfillment ability one greater lower back or tight end staying in to block. assume the Irish to in line with probability not have a %.-six yet a minimum of one landing set up by making use of way of turnover, that stands out as the version interior the tip. Notre Dame beats Michigan, 17-7

I live in Warsaw, which is about 1 hour or so away from ND and there are alot of small towns close to South Bend that I am sure you could find a place to stay. For that matter, alot of people actually stay here in Warsaw and just drive up the day of the game because hotels/motels around here don't jack the prices up since ND is not really close by. If you want, email me at steelerman32@yahoo.com and I will give you a list of hotels here in Warsaw.

A dorm on campus. Other than that, this late, on a football weekend where I've seen tickets going at $1,000+, the only way you're going to get a room for under $400 is going to be at least half an hour away.

You will need to drive about an hour either West (Chicago) or any other direction. You can go South on route 31 and probably find something. You might also check the southbentribune.com and see if there are locals renting their homes or rooms. The Bend is crazy on football weekends!
