At room temperatures, Nitrogen is a GAS
At below 437 Degrees F. it is a liquid.
It has never been down near zero degrees Kelvin. that is absolute zero.
Liquid Nitrogen is used in Rocket Science for testing purposes and currently Dermatologists are using it to burn off skin lesions and pre-cancerous cells.
In creating liquid Oxygen, the process is continued and when it is cold enough, Liquid Nitrogen is produced.
When you see a piece of steel, you don't think of it as frozen, but at room temperatures it is.
Fascinating elements.

At room temperature it is a gas. At some temperature around -19-*C it is liquid. I don't know if it can ever be solid.

Nitrogen gas is N2, two nitrogen atoms bound together by a triple bond. The bond is extremely stable, so it takes a whole lot of energy to break it. I believe that's the answer you are looking for.

I'd say liquid and gas.
But i just looked on the net and it can solidify too, under the right circumstances.
