Women and Children Left Behind Under Bush's 2001 Tax Plan
According to The National Women's Law Center, 17 million women would receive no tax cut under Bush's plan. Three million families headed by women with children have an income below the federal poverty rate. This large group would receive no benefit from the tax plan. Thirty-six percent of all single mothers would receive no tax benefit, and nearly half of all African-American and Hispanic single mothers would not benefit from Bush's tax cut.
Bush tried to repeal the corporate Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT). Had he been successful in repealing the AMT, corporations would have received the following retroactive tax breaks:

$1.4 billion to IBM
$371 million to United Airlines
$1 billion to Ford
$254 million to Enron
$833 million to General Motors
$241 million to Phillips Petroleum
$671 million to General Electric
$184 million to American Airlines
$608 million to Texas Utilities
$155 million to IMC Global
$600 million to Daimler Chrysler
$144 million to Comdisco
$572 million to Chevron Texaco
$136 million to CMS Energy
$102 million to Kmart

Americans prosper when businesses (that hire them) prosper. Punitive taxes reduce businesses' ability to employ people, therefore reduce tax revenue and put more people on the dole. Tax breaks for businesses result in greater employment, less people on the dole, more tax revenue from employment.

Our economy is on the rebound - exactly the opposite of what Democrats predicted as a result of Bush's tax breaks. Bush acted on historical experience and he was proven correct.

In particular I want GM to get more tax breaks. GM is working with the Bush Admin and the military to move us to Hydrogen Power for vehicles. They have already delivered hydrogen powered trucks to the Army. Bush is working hard to move us away from foreign oil dependency and GM is a key player.

I am a single mom with children.
Under Clinton I made less and got 1500 back.
Now I make more but still only 30,000 I pay very little in and get 3000 back.
So the Bush tax cuts Really Help people like me.
What you are saying just is NOT the truth.
If you are a single mother you also qualify to file as "head of household" not single, if you make over 36,000, the amount you get back drops a lot because you can't get the EIC but you still can get the child discounts etc.
Also when businesses are taxed more, they don't let it effect their bottom line, they lay off people or ship their business overseas making your other statements not apply.

Don`t forget to add these:

ExxonMobil
Koch Industries
Carlyle
Entergy International
Dynergy
Southern
Reliant
El Paso Corp
GTech
And a $hit load of others.

Himself. Also, these major corporations you have listed that got one hell of a tax break is not fair. Instead of a tax break, how about a manditory price reduction from these corps. for the single mothers!

Shhhh..... {i think of it fairly is secure}.. i think of that President Bush is asserting that we would desire to constantly in no way tolerate outrageous conspiracy theories with regard to the assaults of 9-11, that such theories are malicious lies that attempt to shift the blame far off from the terrorists, and that to inflame ethnic hatred is to boost the reason for terror. Shhhh.... {i think of they are observing}...//wraps cloak around face and disappears into the mist//
