"Dream a Little Dream of Me" is a song, with music by Fabian Andre and Wilbur Schwandt in 1931, and lyrics by Gus Kahn.

It was recorded by Wayne King and his Orchestra with vocal by Ernie Birchill on February 18, 1931 and released by Victor Records as catalogue number 22643
Ozzie Nelson & his Orchestra recorded the song with vocal by Ozzie on February 16, 1931. It was released by Brunswick Records as catalogue number 6060.
Performed by Louis Armstrong together with Ella Fitzgerald.
Its perhaps most famous rendition was by "Mama" Cass Elliot of The Mamas & the Papas, in 1968. Mama Cass' single was a live track recorded at a Mamas & Papas concert, and the single was credited to "Mama Cass with the Mamas & the Papas," although it is generally considered the beginning of her solo career.
Famed Norwegian singer Sissel Kyrkjebø sang a version of it on her 1986 eponymous album.
Was covered by My Morning Jacket on their Early Recordings Chapter 2 - Learning album.
A rendition in French is heard in the film The Devil Wears Prada.

Mama's and the Papa's, it is on iTunes. Mama Cass died very young, I think of a heart attack, she was a rather large woman, it is unfortunate because she had an incredible voice.

BTW to whoever posted the words, thanks, I never knew louis Armstrong wrote it, I have an Louis Armstrong, he sings it, but I never realized he wrote it.

is this what your looking?

Dream a little dream of me by Louis Armstrong (also sung by Mama Cass)

Stars shining bright above you
Night breezes seem to whisper "i love you"
Birds singin’ in the sycamore trees
Dream a little dream of me

Say nighty-night and kiss me
Just hold me tight and tell me you’ll miss me
While I’m alone and blue as can be
Dream a little dream of me

Stars fading but I linger on dear
Still craving your kiss
I’m longin’ to linger till dawn dear
Just saying this

Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you
Sweet dreams that leave all worries behind you
But in your dreams whatever they be
Dream a little dream of me

(instrumental break)

Stars shining up above you
Night breezes seem to whisper "i love you"
Birds singin’ in the sycamore trees
Dream a little dream of me

Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you
Sweet dreams that leave all worries behind you
But in your dreams whatever they be
Dream a little dream of me

Yes, dream a little dream of me
