The real glitch is that a nation like India will always be behind the curve. As they develop the US will also develop. Top End technology will always elude them so they will always be in a rut. India needs to do 3 things.
1 Reduce the Birth rate. If China can do it so can they
2 Bring women into the main flow of society. Women represent 50% of technology potential but are not allowed to succeed
3 Aggressively develop a military. You cant influence the world without a gun to point at someones head. The US knows this, England knows this, Spain knew this, and so on back to the most powerful cave in Central Europe!

I don't understand what they mean by "development that has to be or will be achieved by the year 2020".
Every educated mind is asking this question to itself!
Indians forget that they are government as per Indian Constitutional guarantee, also they are the servants under the constitutional principles, that showers lot of fundamental rights.
If you take US as the standard, to test any of the matters that Indians are planning to have, every where (Indians) will fail.
Every Indian has to feel & follow:
I am Indian First and I am proud to be an Indian
United we develop
Cut the coat according to cloth - Save some from the earnings.
Politicians have to be transparent and accountable.
Students have to mind only their studies, say no to politics!
Workers have to mind their work, say no to stirkes & lock-outs!
All farudlent practices have to be strictly dealt
Educational reforms have to done fom time to time based on the trend of the need.
Equal rights to all, forget reservation, quotas etc.
For brilliant students/ teachers proper attention have to be paid
Indians have some technology, Indians have required, Indians have man power, Indians have marketing capabilty and Indians have purchase power.
Why then all these dramas take place in India?
Once everything is set right before 2020, Indian names will be written in golden letters.
The problems have to be identified and addressed properly.
