its because blondes were generally the more stereotyped all american beauty then. so when marylin monroe went in showbiz, they bleached her hair to make her more appealing. its just that she happened to be really dumb and floozy in her acting, and was consequently blonde which made the dumb blonde stereotype immortal.
i mean, there are a lot of dumb asians and latins and blacks, and brunettes and all those others races, but they dont have as big a floozy media icon as marylin monroe to establish the streotype.

In many ways this was a Hollywood construction, I believe. But today it has developed into a kind of "racism" or discrimination. Blondes make a very small minority of the world population. Most myths on blondes are not true, although statistics do confirm that blond women have a higher fertility rate when compared in groups with the same age and when no contraceptives systems are used.
Edit: And been a Swede, I can tell you that one third of all Scandinavian do not have "blond" background - IN fact one third of the population has at least one grand parent that comes from another culture or another part of the world. And it seems that it has been like that for several hundreds of years. The original people in the area are the Sami or Lap. The most advanced country is Finland.

Blondes come from Scandinavian and Nordic descent. I suspect that their culture have subtle mannerisms and unique perspectives that have passed down through the generations and even into America . Or maybe the genetics have something to do with it. In either case, they are a highly intelligent and progressive people. Look at the Nordic country today:

Their progression from the black skin and black hair of africa(where we all started) to the light complexion and blonde hair means that they've had to adapt to environments very different from their homeland. To survive the change in terrain, weather, food, and danger as they traveled must have required very high intelligence and creativity. I suspect only the smarter ones made it.
So if they're so smart, then why the hype? Intelligent people are different. They act and talk different. Maybe their oddites were construed as stupidity. Many times the odd one out is singled out and made fun of for being different. But unpopular is not always wrong as we know through many instances in science.
God. Writing about this makes me kinda horny for a blondie. It is decided..my children will have some nordic in them.

Because people have always admired and associated beauty with golden haired maidens. Thus they weren't expected to do much else to be the "golden child" because they could just look pretty and get what they wanted. Thus they were notoriously not as wise didn't have to work as hard or use their brains as educated or as wise as those who had to work for their status. I hope that makes sense? In other words they've always been able to get away with just looking pretty....which doesn't take any brain power~

As a blond myself, I believe its because we stand out more and it's a jealousy thing at times. As you can see, many people try and dye their hair blond or highlight it to a lighter color. I enjoy blond jokes as it reminds me everyday that there are fewer and fewer of us true blonds left in the world.

if u are blonde, u re right. i'm blonde too and i hate the way the they make a fool at us!! they are just jealous, don't care!! nicole kindman has an iq of 135!! and many others natural blondes!!! up with blondes!!
