oh no - don't - she is probably just taking BC cause she doesn't want another kid right now. Many women take them just to keep a regular menstrual cycle if they don't have one without those pill, to reduce the cramps during their period and to lighten and shorten their period as well.
Don't feel awkward - it's ok :o)

First, stop going through your mom's stuff. It's rude; would you want her going through your stuff?
Second, you don't need to do anything. Women take the pill for a variety of reasons. Not wanting to get pregnant is chief among them, but the pill also regulates a woman's hormones, relieves symptoms of some female conditions like endometriosis and also helps keep your skin clear. Her reasons for taking the pill are her business and hers alone; she's an adult and she gets to make her own choices in life without consulting you.

Well I can see that it would be weird, and I hate to say it but she has the right to do it. However she might not be, like I know that my mom takes them for her headaches so she might need them for other things. But I know what your feeling, very awkward. If you feel really, really weird about it I would talk to her about it, it might feel weird talking to her but it also might help. Anyway I hope you get it figured out.

Just be glad that she has them at least you want ever have to think about your mom having a little brother or sister for right now. I'm glad my mom had her tubes tied with me, never had to worry about that other than finding condoms and that really didn't freak me out at least she was protecting herself, be proud of her!!!

You should keep that info to yourself. You violated your mother's privacy and unless you want to discuss this the best thing is to forget that you know about the pills.

these pills are given not only for birth control but also for people who have bad problems with their periods or other hormonal problems. if you are uncomfortable, talk to you mom, tell her what you saw. be honest & open with your parents and they usually will be the same way with you

Welcome to adulthood. You have just realized that your parents are people too. Sucks doesn't it?
And I agree with the posters that said you should be thankful that she is being responsible. She is a human being and has every right to hump like a rabbit if she so chooses.

Do nothing! Be thankful that mother is responsible enough to not have unprotected sex. Yes, mothers do have sex, How do you think you got here in the first place?! To be quite honest, its really none of your business, so just forget it.
