I had Intel 865 GSA motherboard in my PC & was working well.I changed into Intel 945GTP motherboard.After that when I record using mic a Hisss background noise is coming continuously.I updated my sound driver and BIOS from Intel site but of no use. I send mail to them but no help. If any body faced this problem please tell me how to solve this as I am unable to make voice chatting because otherend is hearing some noise only.My voice is recorded but background noise is more than my voice.

Have you check to see if the Mic gain is turned on or tried lowering the mic level? Also try lowering or muting other controls, like Wave, Midi, etc to see if your getting crosstalk. May even try a different mic. Could be there's a mismatch.
