Batman's cooler, obviously. The Joker has yellow teeth.
A lot of women do prefer the good guy in the hero/damsel situation.
However, the bad guy can be oddly appealing (in my opinion, in a sadistic sense), because the bad guy "rebels" against authority, or the authority of good.
Now, sir, I ask, why are men so infatuated with Villains?
Who's cooler? Batgirl or Poison Ivy?

I just read your other answers and some of them are pretty good. As a longtime lover of "bad" boys, for me it has always been about the ones who weren't so much bad as the ones who just didn't care that much for what everyone else thought. It's very liberating to be with someone who doesn't care if you wear make up or if you can act like a lady all the time. I like to be "good" sometimes, but I have always needed someone who understood the "bad" side of me, too. By the way, I married a "bad" boy and I've never been abused by any man. My "bad boy" friends would have a ball beating the snot out of any man who tried.

The accepted theory is that women think they can change the bad boy into a good boy. They (subconciously, of course) want to 'mother" the bad boy and make him good.
Usually, tho, women suffer terrible things by these bad boys.
What is really STUPID is that when bad boys beat the crap out of a woman, she says, "But I love him."
THAT....is stupid.
