I've noticed that I tend to scroll back up a page I've read to the bottom, before I click the back button. Maybe I feel like I have to reverse the entire motion I just completed. I know I could just click the Back button without scrolling up, but I always forget.
Do you do that too? Why do we do that? Do you think it's something George Carlin would remark upon?

I thought everyone knew who Geroge Carlin was. George Carlin is an american Comedian, whose been doing comedy for over 40 years. His site is http://www.georgecarlin.com and you can get more information at wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Carlin or at IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0137506/

I did it just now (blush) when I came here to answer your question. I never thought about it before. Carlin...hmm. He'd probably say something like: He was "scrolling thru' the neighborhood" and something made him look behind him, and he had to back up for another look...while convincing himself it was cool to go backwards...and missing what was in front him...and he uses his rear-view mirror a lot while driving...and he only hit two old ladies today...not a bad day.

I do that. I think it helps me remember what page I'm on or to make sure I didn't miss something, but maybe it's just a silly habit. I am also a speed-scroller. I grab the scroll bar with my cursor and jam it back against the top arrow.
I use the 7 words you can't say on TV while I'm driving.

I scroll back up too, and no, I don't know why I do that..
As far as the George Carlin part goes, I don't know anybody by that name, so I can't help you there.
Wonderful question.
Thanks.

No but I do scroll back up before refrshing, otherwise, it refreshes and keeps the page at the bottom.

Yeah...I've noticed that I do that as well. It's strange isn't it, because we don't even need to, but we just automatically do it. It must be some weird sub-conscious automatic motion. We're freaks man!

Sometimes I do that same way! But it's just like that! We used to do it that's why we keep on doing it! No other people are/were involved about it, I think...

No, there's no need.
Just click the 'back' button,
or right-click on any open area and left-click on 'back' or hit 'b' on your keyboard.
