I am 55 and you can't even imagine the changes I have seen regarding this matter! And I taught teens for 30 years, and each year, things kept getting worse and worse and worse. Teens are just a reflection of society: as society gets worse, so do teens.

When you take away the sanctity of life, then there is a decline in humanity. And yes, teens have all the gadgetry in the world and know how to use it, but they don't have or most don't good old fashioned common sense - and you ask why? Because we don't teach it, we don't expect it, and we are looking at up to 4th generation drug children - the brain does fry - if not you're own then what you pass along - are they more slutty - no, not really - just a different kind of expressing - we did it at my age with daisy duke shorts - now they have piercings and tattoos - which done moderately is ok, but seems to have gone extreme - and you ask why? - who's parenting these day? TV - who raised these kids? Single parents. Who were their baby sitters? TV or the welfare system - one is just as bad as the other. Like it or not, we, America, have blood on our hands and it doesn't come clean, and we're sacrificing our kids, one at a time, in the womb, out of the womb - it doesn't matter - but that's what's happening. You just happened to notice it at a relatively young age - I'm 42 and have been noticing the decline for 20 years.

It is not necessarily a decline in humanity.
My guess would be because you are finally growing up so you see things differently then you did when you were a teenager.
When you were a teenager the girls in their 20's were saying the exact same thing about your generation.
And when I was a teenager the people in their 20's were saying the same thing about my generation.
It is simply the fact that you are growing up, your morals are changing, and you see things in a different way.

I think they are more slutty at least. Im still in high school, but i see the way girls and guys act together and how they dress and present themselves. Girls like attention, at least the majority of them do, and dressing that way or acting in such ways i think makes them feel like the attention they wanted is actually recieved. Idk...the saying, "modesty is the best policy" is something i go by, from the way i dress and how i present myself. believe me, im not saying that all younger kids now days are like this...cuz i know many people who are mature enough to show some respect for themselves, but there are some who dont.

The main thing that's changed is your point of view.
Kids haven't changed that much. When you are a few years older that will be more obvious than it is now.
Humanity has always been about the same as it is now. There's good ones, bad ones and the rest of us. We just have more of it right now.

You're getting older. Dah ha. Now, was that so hard to figure out? I'm 40+ and I would probably think that your generation is part of the problem today. How does that make you feel?
