it's a proven fact that big city life doesn't suit everyone.
consider moving to a smaller city.

Life doesn't have a pause button.
If I lived in Los Angeles I think I'd want to find someplace else to move to. Or at least to escape to once in a while.
I would at least get out of the city. California has some pretty nice places. Other states do too.
Find yourself some escapes such as reading, gardening or watching movies.
If you are single, you might find dating, marriage, and children a good way to change directions.
Good luck to you. You sound like an intelligent and caring person.

Praise And Utterances Said Effectively unto God through the power of the Holy Spirit - otherwise, there is no pause button anywhere - no place to sit down and catch a breath of fresh air or drift into a sunny afternoon nap - they are all ideals that we have allowed consumerism to rob us of for the last 40 years and until we choose to slow consumerism, we cannot stop and smell the roses - Roses, what are roses?

I would suggest taking a mental health day. A mental health day is a day that you stay home from work and do something special for yourself. Dedicate the whole day to yourself. Give your mind and body a rest. Put all your problems on the back burner for that day. Don't worry about anything. Watch funny movies and laugh your a** off. See if you can get a friend to join you. Someone that is very positive and fun. Someone that has a great sense of humor. Enjoy YOUR MENTAL HEALTH DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, but no pause button. Life is what you make it. You are in control of your own life. As for finding some relief, I would maximize activities that are peaceful and relaxing to you.

There is no place and what you are experiencing is the republican way of life. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer and there will no longer be a middle class.
