If you come across a problem, then just buy one ticket. Then after a few minutes, go to another ticket window and buy a another ticket. Now you will have two. The ticket checker won't care or suspect anything unless your friend looks like she is 12 years old.

I'm sure you could since most theaters don't really enforce these silly ratings. Or you could buy two tickets to a PG-13 movie and, if they don't have someone at the door, just go to the R-rated movie. Unlike booze and cigarettes there's no law against letting underage people into R films. They don't really care as long as you have the money.

In NY you have to be 21 to buy two tickets for people 20 and below. I was 20 and trying to get tickets for me and my husband, they said they needed him to do it. So, hope this helps.
