You can use Nero for the software...
How to burn?
1. Insert CD/DVD
2. The program will ask if you wanna make copy of a cd or compile new file
3. Next, what kinda CD you wanna make (audio, files, or mix)
3. Then just drag files you wanna compile
4. If you're done, just choose "WRITE CD"
The program is easy to use... You can burn cds without following my steps...

Copy the contents of the DVD to your hard drive, then use the normal CDR burner program to burn the CDs. It'll take a few CDs to cover the contents of a DVD. But then, you didn't mention what was on the DVD you're trying to copy.

You need a dvd shrinker and a encrypter. You can search the web for a free one to download and then after downloading it will prompt you for burning movies.
