Contact your Doctor to see what the problem is. It could be anything. Go to the ER or to your Doctor as soon as possible

If the pain mainly acquires in the back (center) of the neck and the swollen glands are are not that often. It could possibly be arthritis of the neck. I have this problem! I am constantly having to pop my neck and the pain happens usually when laying down. I had X-rays done on my neck and found out it was arthritis. It actually shocked me because I had never heard of this before until that moment. The best way to stop the pain is when you lay down to go to sleep put your arms above your head and lay flat on your back. If the glands are are frequently swollen it might be chronic bronchitis or worse. You should differently check with your regular Physician.

See a Doctor!!!! Are you asking for professional advice in a medium such as this? that could lead to a law suit. I think it is unfair and not thinking on your part that you even ask that. Seek your physicians advise on all medical problems...do NOT try to self diagnose or self medicate on any medical issue. Always seek the help of a professional.
