Depends on how many family is there to help you. If it's 9 people and 9 bags, take the T (subway). It'll go about everywhere. Else, you might consider getting one of the larger taxi's.

But since you're moving there, you might consider renting a car for the day. Getting to/from the airport to Brookline's pretty easy and so even if it's two trips, you'll be done pretty quick. Plus, then you'll have a car for a day to run out and get some stuff at the store to stock up before your family leaves!

Cheap rental cars I usually find at orbitz.com. Though, you can always try to "lower" your price at priceline once you know the prices from orbitz.

Welcome to Boston!

How big are the boxes (dimensions/weight) What is the commodity? How soon do you need them? I work in logistics. I can get a quote for you on any kind of shipping. My rates are best when the total weight is over 150lbs. After that I am very competitive against DHL, UPS, Fed Ex.
Email me the info including the dims, commodity, origin zip and destination zip and I can get a rate to you by tommorrow. Both air and truck. Also let me know if the boxes are on a pallet or just seperate. Truck will probably be less but take a little more time. Also let me know if the destination is a residence. That may cost a few extra dollars.

There is a UHaul and a Budget right near Logan. You'll probably need to rent a small van or something near there for the day and drive it all over. That would be the best way
