Well you could plan a nice dinner with even a sparkling juice to toast and then go pick out a bib or something that says "I Love My Daddy" I bought a bib for my husband as soon as I found out and he said that it was the best present ever. If you were trying he should be very happy that you went through all the trouble to tell him in a very sweet and memorable way.
You can get items in green's or yellow's or even white because you don't what you are having yet.
Good luck and I hope that you have a wonderful evening regardless of how you tell the new daddy.

Take your spouse to a restaurant that is significant to the two of you -- perhaps where you got engaged or had your first date. To give him a hint, buy a copy of Bill Cosby's book on fatherhood or give him a bib with the saying "I Love Daddy" printed on it. Digging for more ideas? Hang a "baby on board" sign in the car before you take a trip together, or send him an electronic baby card.

Congrats! That's exactly how long it took me and mine to conceive! This may sound yuck, but what I did was go to his change/wallet/keys unloading spot(his dresser) and put my positive test right up there w/the rest of his stuff. Or put it somewhere he'll be looking at tonight. I stayed in the other room when my hubby went in to his dresser, and I could hear him holler from the other room.

Sunday September 3 is Father's Day in Australia.
Buy him a Father's day card and make a nice meal. Afterwards sit on his lap, tell him to close his eyes, put his hand on your tummy say open your eyes and pass him the card with 'YOU ARE GOING TO BE THE BEST DAD IN THE WORLD ' written in it!
Best wishes,petlover2

Well... since you're talking about such short notice it's difficult to plan something more involved then just telling him outright. You could play with your words (i.e. call him Daddy or something cute) but you can't go out and buy a box for the pregnancy test or buy a card or anything... so I say... just tell him.

My daughter in law announced the news to my son by getting a baby outfit and putting a cute note on it advising him an occupant was coming.
The picture of the outfit was e-mailed to family members to pass the news along to the rest of us.

You can tell him that a you are expecting a new member in your family, a very precious one, a blessing from God and a symbol of your love who is going to make both you and your husband known to the world as his mama and papa (parents).

CONGRATULATIONS!! I bet you're so excited!!!
I saw so many good ideas here. Do you think you can get through the whole night without telling him???? I couldn't! Make love to him and hand him the test strip with the positive sign on it when you're done!
