Stupidity is not ignorance, ignorance is something...you know about but don't bother to care about.
Stupidity is you don't know to care about of it.
I think it makes it clear enough.
(Ignorance is not to clean your nosy nose at all, and stupidity is to clean it with your tongue.)
Being rude is like forcibly taking someone's girl/things without caring about it at all; being clever is like taking someone's girlfriend by such tact that he'll come thanking to you.

Hi,
Let me try to answer this way.
The source of stupidity is a simple act or an attempt in certain direction without bothering much about the results or consequences. In many cases, stupiduty appears innocent or harmless.
Ignorance comes from I know all or I dont need kind of attitude.
Its a deliberate attempt and it stops your natural flow of attitude.
Its not a bliss.
Staying stupid is many times better and keeps opening new possiblities in life. Ignorance is exactly opposite.
Hope, this answers w/o being rude or clever.
cheers !
-atul.

I consider myself a reasonably bright young man and that's not usually a matter for contention so I am usually not in danger of being considered stupid because I have the ability to learn from data which is put in front of me. However I may at times be "ignorant" of the facts because I haven't been presented them. So, if I then see information which I learn from I am no longer ignorant in that particular circumstance. If I don't learn from the information I am given then I am in danger of being regarded as stupid.

Just the person's view that's speaking and the listener might view it in a different way
Stupidity is mainly when someone is just being dumb (mentally -- no common sense)
Ignorance means the person really doesn't know any better so they are uneducated on the matter

Stupidity is usually when a person is unable or unwilling to understand or make use of information, command, request, or simply formulate a complete thought or reasoned judgement
Ignorance applies to when a person DOES understand the situation, circumstance, or information, but doesn't care or doesn't want to follow through. It also falls under indifference, immaturity, or causing oneself to be incidentally misinformed.

I believe "stupid", would be people unable to think. "Ignorance", would be people that could educate themselves if they tried...but are too dense to keep an open mind.

"Hello heeltap!
This is a short answer, but, I believe you will know it for its value.
Ignorance is something we have control over, stupidity occurs more by accident than on purpose."
