...well I'm not sure because Dextron III is for transmission...but the manual said I can use Dextron III..... So i'm confuse......please help....what type of power steering fluid should i use for my 94 mazda protege?

yes you can use any type of transmission fluid it will work better than power steering fluid it will last longer and steer smoother it can be any type it dont have to be dexron lll any type will work

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that you can. Dextron has changed these past years. If the manual says you can then you'll be alright.

Those are the only fluids that are interchangable, though I wouldn't put steering fluid in my transmission.

Make sure it's Dextron III and not Dextron II..

Not true! Power steering fluid is different for different vehicles. The end result...if you use the wrong fluid, it can damage the seals & cause leaks. Depends on the kind of car you buy - If it calls for Dextron II, use it. The label on the P/S fluid bottle should say what kind it is on it somewhere.

Perfectly safe. Some cars require a different fluid forPS but most cars for years used ATF in the PS system No Prob!
