Well, I think you need to emphasize the information you learned and how you applied it to the job you had as you were going through the MBA class.

There are a variety of possible (and credible) reasons. For example:

1) Other work and family priorities were such that you could not easily fit a brick-and-mortar experience into your schedule. Despite this, your commitment to learning was such that you decided to find a program that allowed you to also prioritize learning.

2) When you sat down and did a cost-benefit analysis, you decided -- like any good finance major would -- that the benefits of doing a correspondence degree far outweighed the costs (particularly as compared to other options). In other words, you felt the program was good value for money!

3) Your personal commitments were such that you could not readily move to a location where a good brick-and-mortar program was offered. Thus, you opted for a top quality education -- that happened to be available in a non-traditional format.

4) If you look at the trends in education, distance learning is a rapidly growing business. The University of Phoenix, for example, is a tremendous example of a distance program that regularly provides high-quality training recognized by many of the best corporations in the world. Consider, for example, that Boeing spends many millions a year on purchasing University of Phoenix training for its customers. The reason corporations value this sort of education is because they believe it better accommodates the various demands of the students. With such a program, you're in a position to manage your own progress -- and focus particularly on those areas that are most significant to your career.

Juz be honest wif them as you can't afford the high fees as a full-time campus student but do tell them that your MBA nevertheless is the same as conferred even through correspondence.

Good luck :-)
