as a baby there are approximately 300 bones in teh body ( im not sure of the exact number and will get back to you with that).....as we grow older, many of these bones merge to form single bones and so these bones dont exactly disappear.

adult has 306 bones
The bones fuse together when a baby become an adult
baby has 306 bones to form together to make bigger bones!

at birth we have more bones as we grow they just join each other and adults have 206 bones
