NO!!!! YUCK!!!!!

Not only is it REALLY smelly, but it's really, really hard on your skin. It will dry it out way too much.

If you have oily skin, check out the skin care aisle at Walmart, Target, KMart, etc. There are so many GOOD products out there. I had a lot of luck with Neutragena through the years. They make a variety of washes now for oily and combination skin types.

Only if you have open wounds like from pimples then the alcohol will be able to help. It kills the bacteria and the wound will heal faster. Like when you shaved your legs you should put rubbing alcohol after to disinfect miniature wounds.

For a healthy normal skin it only dries it out because it also rubs the protective layer which is on the skin off easier.

I don't know what experts say but if I had acne I would probably try rubbing alcohol to get the inflammation down. But careful really. I hvea not tried it because I don ot have acne and I have never heard about it.

Anyways I use rubbing alcohol a lot but only for open wound disinfection.

You can't wash your face with it, but you can use it as an astringent. I wouldn't recommend it, because it can dry out your face, but if it's all you can afford, it will work. Just make sure you use moisurizer also.

On a cheap budget:
1.Wash your face with store brand baby soap.
2. use rubbing alcohol as an astringent.
3. Moisturize with some kind of vitamin E lotion...But not too much if it is not meant for the face.

Alcohol will definitely dry out your face. Your skin will produce even more oil to try to make up for the dryness. This will not make your skin look better.

Try washing your skin twice a day with mild soap. If you are already doing this, you can move to something more technical like Proactiv.

You can use it as an astringent, but it can be very harsh for the skin because of the level of alcohol included, use "witch hazel " with cotton swabs instead after washing.

It depends on how greasy your skin is. If you are using it for acne (which I did as a teen), try just blotting it on the affected areas. Keep in mind that you can try it and see what it does for you as an individual. (try it on a weekend or something though just in case). Witch Hazel is an awesome astringent as many here have suggested. Used that before in that past too.

I use it as an astringent after washing my face. It does not overly dry my skin and does help clear it up. It also feels more clean when I do that.

the problem with rubbing alcohol is that dries up your skin really badly, try an astringent like seabreeze, same idea but is better for your skin, and always use a moisturizer after. good luck!

It is known for its great analgesic properties, but be careful, if you have sensitive skin, it may cause a rash or burn around the nose and eyes.
